Tique Toque: A Gentle Beginning with Big Dreams

Tique Toque: A Gentle Beginning with Big Dreams

Tique Toque wasn’t born in a boardroom. It started quietly—out of curiosity, a bit of frustration, and a lot of love.

In India, watches are often seen as just accessories. Few of us stop to ask what’s ticking beneath the dial. You’ll see headlines hailing a celebrity's "most complicated watch," but rarely do they explain what that actually means. There’s a gap in awareness, in appreciation—and for us, that was a spark.

Our founder is an engineer by training. He’s walked the hallways of Delhi University, Carnegie Mellon, and IIM Bangalore. But it wasn’t until much later that he found himself truly enchanted by watches—not just the way they look, but the way they work. A hands-on watchmaking class revealed the intricacies of movements, the poetry of gears and springs working in perfect harmony. And it became clear: the magic of watchmaking needed to be shared, especially with young Indians.

So here we are. Tique Toque is still young. We're learning, building, dreaming. We’re not pretending to be perfect—but we are committed, honest, and driven by passion. Our goal? To create high-quality, design-forward timepieces that don’t just sit on your wrist but spark conversations. We want to make watches that are accessible, playful, and proudly Indian.

We’re working towards building everything here—assembly, and one day, manufacturing. It’s a long road, but we’re inspired by what HMT once stood for. We want to bring that spirit back—with a modern flair and a commitment to storytelling, design, and affordability.

This isn’t just a product. It’s a love letter to horology. If you’ve ever felt that quiet thrill at hearing a mechanical tick, or found yourself staring at a dial for a second too long, then you’re already part of our tribe.

We hope you’ll give us a chance. Be patient with us. Walk with us. Because Tique Toque isn’t just about timekeeping—it’s about making time for beauty, curiosity, and craft.
