Not Just a Box: The Thought Behind Tique Toque Packaging

Let’s be honest—most watch boxes are either (a) needlessly bulky or (b) deceptively "premium" looking until you realize they’re made of cardboard disguised as leather, stuffed with foam, and hiding a whole lot of plastic (YES! We were surprised too with the plastic). And what happens next? They get tossed into storage, used to keep old keys or paperclips, while the actual watch ends up collecting scratches on a bathroom counter or bedside drawer.

When we were designing our packaging, we knew we didn’t want to go down that route.

We spent months trying, testing, and surveying. We asked people what they actually do with their watch boxes—and the answers were loud and clear. So we thought: why can’t the box be both beautiful and useful?

Enter our wooden box. Solid, sustainable, and designed with a glass top so your timepiece gets the little display stage it deserves—even when it’s off your wrist. No more tossing it into a drawer or forgetting where you kept it. It looks good on a shelf, on a dresser, or even in your work-from-home setup. Think of it as a frame for your watch, not just a container.

But we didn’t stop there.

Our founder—bit of a travel bug—still remembers how delighted he was when his Baume & Mercier came with a soft felt pouch. Simple, effective, elegant. So we borrowed that idea and made it our own: every Tique Toque comes with a snug little felt travel pouch in our brand colours. It’s compact, scratch-safe, and carry-on friendly. Whether you're off to a wedding, a work trip, or just a weekend getaway, your watch stays protected—no clunky case needed.

Just like our watches, our packaging is meant to be used, not forgotten. It’s a small detail, but we think it says a lot about how we think.

Because at Tique Toque, the care doesn’t stop at the watch.
